Mumu: The Muvie

We have been sooo busy here at mumu headquarters casting for the Lifetime muvie they are doing on us. The producers have finally made some hard decisions after hours upon hours of castings, conversations, and negotiations. This is the nature of the biz people. We thought we would share the cast with our loyal mumu fans in this upcoming fake movie….

Alessandra Ambrosio was the obvious choice for ‘Mini’ aka ‘Shannon 1′ BUT Sinead O’Connor was also interested in the role and thought she had a chance because they are obviously related. Problem was- neither of them act. So a heartbroken Minka Kelly got in touch with producers and Voila! We have our very own movie mini!

Casting Jordan was fairly easy. Mischa came in for the role and something just….wasn’t…sitting right. Luckily, she gave us a burst of creative energy and we realized who was perfect for the role: Marissa Cooper! Duh!

The role of Cologne. Kate Bosworth (circa Blue Crush) had been verbally promised the role by one of the producers because they are twins. Unfortunately, we were also in negotiations with a few big names. After hours of debate and finally an overrule by Teamu (the producers were having a hard time with our choice)…we present to you…Suri Cruise as Cologne Schmidt. Put those kitten heels away Suri! It’s time for wedges!

Cammy was thinking Jessica Biel, but then the producers said she came as package with Lucy Camden AKA Beverly Mitchell and we just didn’t have a role for her in this particular film….It was down to the wire when JLO’s people called our people. She heard about Cammy’s love for gold hoops and said we could borrow the twins when Teamu wanted to play with babies so we gave her the green light.

Bobby had his heart set on Philip Seymour Hoffman but aside from the sausage fingers we just didn’t know if they had enough in common. Luckily, his celeb doppelganger Simon Cowell heard about the flick from JLO and contacted us immediately for a role. After a screen test and the boys sharing some whiskeys, Simon was in as Bobby Miller. The accent didn’t hurt his chances either. Australian….English….Americans just hear an accent.

We had a lot of interest in the role of Sam, but only interviewed one human: Beaux Hebert aka Sam’s American twin brother. He was a shoe in: family ties, identical look, same personality. Beaux hopes to make Sam proud and looks forward to working alongside the talented Suri Cruise to make the romance of Sam and Coco come to life.
